atelier virtuel is a short, two days project. The
Virtual Reality Modeling Language (VRML) is an interactive
way to present web-content in a three dimensional virtual space.
The visitor can navigate through the virtually reconstructed
design studio of the architecture faculty of the EPFL. While
visiting the studio, some object have assigned interactive properties.
You will trigger some of these just by 'walking' through the active
zone. Other interactive objects can be triggered by clicking on them
with the mouse. Last, the position of the camera (point of view) is
near the ground, as if you were a mouse. This lets the space
of the studio seem bigger and the time to explore it becomes longer.

I noticed that the VRML-file works differently on different platforms.
Therefore, the elevators were programmed to work well on the
computer on which I developed the VRML-scene. On faster computers,
the ones of today, they do not work properly, which is a pity, because
it is the only way to change the 'floors'. For vewing the VRML-file you
must download the plugin for your web browser, which you can find here.
